I'm Manit .k

I'm a music composer from Thailand. I compose soundtrack for films/animations and games, with a specialty in musical themes. I believe that each piece of music is something to be discovered more so than told. I look to discover the music in films and games.

Below are short films and animations I made soundtracks for, many of which are in collaboration with graduate film and animation students! My biggest inspiration is still the music from The Lord of the Rings trilogy composed by Howard Shore. Over the years, I've accumulated many musical influences ranging from J-pop, K-pop, rock, EDM, jazz, western pop, film music, classical/romantic/experimental music and basically anything that pulled my interest. However, I always come back to J-pop/J-rock and epic orchestral music with a few of my favorite artists right now being: One Ok Rock, Ado, *Luna, Hiroyuki Sawano, Two Steps From Hell and Joe Hisaishi.As a composer and music producer, I am skilled in making cinematic/epic orchestral music, J-Pop/J-rock and atmospheric music. And when the story or project calls for it, I can familiarize myself and learn new musical styles to add to my composing repertoire such as country music, jazz or atonal music. I find that music in creative media often calls for customized approaches to best fit the project and story, so I like to take elements from each genre I know and mix them together. Often times, I find myself creating music styles completely unique to the world of the film/game. I deeply care about the heart of the story and the characters in them, so I try to express and support it as much as I can through music, especially with the use of musical themes/motifs.Aside from composing, I also transcribe and arrange piano sheet music, most of which right now is free along with piano synthesia tutorials which I post on my second Youtube channel "Manit .K Piano Tutorials".Below is a list of some of my favorite movies and games.
